Hi everyone! This is Hannah again.
I am a few weeks in to my second year training to be a veterinary nurse. Time has flown! I am very happy to be back.
During my first block up at college I began working on the anaesthetics and theatre practice skills. These are arguably some of the most important skills I will learn during my training as this is the basis for the surgeries that we do every day. I am finding it good so far, but obviously I have a lot more to learn!
I am going up to college in Thurso next week for my second two week block where I will be learning laboratory skills and radiography. This is great for me because I absolutely love lab work! I used to have a job as a lab assistant in a hospital, so this is definitely right up my street. Today I was looking at a blood smear (the picture on the right) under the microscope, it was amazing!
