I have recently been up in Thurso for college for my last Evolve exam. I am happy to report I passed my third exam! Now I move on to written assignments and exams, instead of the online exams.
My next exam is at the end of March so there is still a lot of revision to be done. My Nursing Progress Log is progressing well also, with 62% of it completed.
I will now be focusing on laboratory skills and radiography. This will involve taking blood, urine, faecal and skin samples, running blood samples and urinalysis, and assisting in the taking of X-rays and with ultrasound scans. I am quite excited for this part, as I used to work in a hospital laboratory, so have a keen interest in all things lab-related! This would be an area I would consider doing further training in when qualified next year.
It seems like next year will come by very quickly for me, as my course finishes in January 2019. From there, I will start searching for employment as an RVN, before I sit my practical OSCE exams in March 2019!
Thanks to everyone for following my training story, and look forward to seeing you around the practice some time.
